As a musician himself – drums & other percussion instruments – René has played many times with prominent local musicians including Robbie Jensen, Moreira Chonguica and Buddy Wells on saxophone, Daren English and Lee Thomson on trumpet, Simric Yarrow on Trombone Frank Paco and John Hassan on percussion and Alou April on guitar.
