Chris Luke

Chris Luke has a Bachelor of Music (Jazz Studies) degree from The University of Cape Town – he graduated with the Bell Prize (Highest mark throughout all years for practical studies in Saxophone).

Chris Luke was Saxophone lecturer at WITS University in Johannesburg from 2008 – 2011.

He was a member of the South African Police Orchestra for two years; he played 1600 shows for the Barnyard Theatre’s in South Africa; toured and co-wrote a two-man production with Amra-Faye Right (Velma Kelly for West End’s Chicago);

Toured Ghana, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Denmark, Belgium, Holland, Turkey & the Caribbean on various musical contracts; was in the pit for Soweto Story at the Civic, Hairspray at the Lyric & Annie at the Nico; was Musical Director for Johnson & Johnson, and has written original music for various companies including Outsurance and Johnson & Johnson.

He has taken part in numerous gigs and corporates over a 15 year period.

His original compositions and original band have been featured on Soweto TV on two different occasions.
