Dylan (Born February 18, 1995) is a Multi-talented Singer-Songwriter, Recording Artist and Performer from Mthatha in the Eastern Cape.
He developed a strong passion for music at the tender age of 8 after seeing Usher’s “U Remind Me” music video on television. He’s been a performer his whole life however, he is best known for his work with the Delivery Boys band where he’s performed professionally in the corporate space for over 5 years.
He offers what promises to be an energetic, eclectic and multi-linguistic performance. His influences include Drake, Kanye West, Usher, Chris Brown & Sadé.
Dylan delivers a contemporary yet versatile set – covering classics from the late 80’s, 90’s & 2000’s, as well as a mid-to-uptempo performance – covering current Top 40 (local and international) hits.
Dylan has an alternative Rhythm and Blues sound infused with South African culture and music. He incorporates a variety of musical styles, and lyrical transitions from English to isiXhosa and isiZulu. The content depicted in Dylan’s music is typically considered to be emotional, intimate and touches on personal relationship experiences of his own as well as from various-other perspectives.
Dylan has shared the stage with some of the biggest artists and bands in the country, namely; Mi Casa, Goodluck, Mango Groove, The Muses, Liquideep and Jamali (to name a few); and has written and worked with well-known South African artists such as Khuli Chana & Jub Jub.
Dylan has also performed for some of the biggest companies/corporations in the country, including The African National Congress (ANC), Coca-Cola, The BMW M-Festival, Africa Day, ABSA Bank, Nissan, Standard Bank, MTN, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Investec, Tupperware, Huawei and 1st For Women. He’s performed at some of the most prestigious venues in South Africa, namely; The Times Square Casino, Emporers Pallace, Kyalami Theatre On The Track, The Four Seasons/Westcliff Hotel, The Steyn City Resort, The Durban ICC Arena & The Coca-Cola Dome. And he’s had several television appearances and radio interviews.
These include shows such as Strictly come dancing and YoTv, as well as radio stations such as Hot 91.9, talk 702 and Jacaranda FM.
