Holding the title of Miss Earth 2012 together with the experience of touring the world from 2013 -2015 as part of the theatre production team on the Costa Crociere Cruise liners, gave Chanelle the opportunity to grow her global appeal as a performer. Her entertainment value became clearly evident to all upon her return to home soils when she achieved great success on the national TV production THE VOICE SOUTH AFRICA Season 1.
Ms. Davids has since rapidly established herself as a sought after performing artist on the SA scene working in various musical contexts from the Monte Casino Teatro & the State Theatre in live shows, to several local residencies such as Katzy’s, Emperor’s Palace & Back of the Moon, to corporate showcases to live TV features.
Notable performances have been working as a backing vocalist for the world acclaimed LEO SAYER Sayer & for the IDOLS South Africa 2016 Top 5. Chanel has alsoshared the stage with several local artists such as Craig Urbani, Mortimer Williams, Tima Reece & Kurt Herman. Her involvement in various tribute shows to The Supremes, Toni Braxton & Showtime Australia’s Tina Turner also bears testament to her phenomenal vocal skill & adaptability. Most recently, she was invited to star in the 2018 season of the TV show MUSIEK ROULETTE as a featured guest artist.
Chanelle holds the title of the LEADING LADY for the elite South African party band BLU BAMBOO – a collective of world class musicians that offers a scale of entertainment second to none & that have been engaged by multiple key corporations such as Vodacom, Discovery, Protea Hotels, Coca Cola, Investec & Barloworld, to name but a few.
For personalised entertainment Chanelle offers not only a SOLO act but partners with DUO and TRIO performances (both vocal & instrumental – inclusive of saxophone, piano & guitar).
